Go to www.bankofcanada.ca/rates/interest-rates/lookup· bond-yields and follow the instructions. Download 60 months of yield-to-maturity data for long-term corporate bonds (series V122518), long· term provincial bonds (V122517), and long-term Canada bonds (V122544), and put the data into a spreadsheet. Calculate the average spreads of the corporate and provincial bonds over the Canada bonds. Graph the yields to maturity over time. What do you see? Does it make sense?
